A.I.D. Mental Health Training

May 8

10:00 am - 11:30 am

Awareness. Interaction. Direction. (A.I.D.) is a 90-minute virtual mental health awareness training that equips individuals with the necessary information and skills to be a champion for mental health in their communities. A.I.D. training emphasizes a course of action that helps identify a person experiencing mental distress and helps connect them with necessary resources and care. We will learn about signs and symptoms, the role of stigma, and steps on how to move forward in providing support for the ones around us who may be struggling with mental health.

A.I.D. training was developed by faculty and staff at Kent State University’s Center for Public Policy and Health (CPPH) through a federal Mental Health Awareness Training grant funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA).
