Set your medical career on a path to success in 2024! Medical Assistant Training applications are available now, as well as $2000 scholarships for eligible applicants who complete their externship at an Alliance for Rural Community Health member center.
Classes are held in Ukiah, Monday through Thursday, 4:30 – 8 PM, January 2- October 10 2024. The cost is $4,500, which can be paid in two installments. Apply by December 4, 2023. $2000 scholarships are available for applicants who agree to complete their externship at an ARCH member health center in their community (Boonville, Fort Bragg, Gualala, Lakeport, Laytonville, Ukiah, or Willits).
Medical Assistants work alongside physicians, mainly in outpatient or ambulatory care facilities, such as health clinics and assisted living centers. This two-semester course offers students complete training to become a Medical Assistant. The program requires 460 classroom hours and a 140-hour externship. In order to improve the access to and quality of care provided to our communities, the Alliance for Rural Community Health is offering scholarships through the Empowerment through Education program.
