MCOE is excited to announce the 3rd Annual Mendocino Educators' Science Retreat at Mendocino Woodlands Camp July 22-24. Retreat workshops include Inspiring Student Creativity & Curiosity, Environmental Literacy & Nature Journaling, ELA & Science Fusion, Arts Integration, Personal Resilience as an Educator, NGSS Best Practices, UDL & SEL Strategies, and Addressing Climate Change with Young Students
Free time options include hikes, river swim, yoga, challenge course, nature journaling, evening bonfires and exploring the Woodlands.
Rustic overnight accommodations are in cabins hand-built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, complete with a balcony and fireplace.
The first 40 educators to register will be accepted and notified by July 1st.
Cost of registration:
$200 for anyone serving Mendocino County students including expanded learning, Pre-K and environmental outdoor educators.
$300 is the cost for out of county educators.
Registration is payable through a check, district PO or personal payments are also welcome. Registration preference will be given to Mendocino County Educators & CREEC North Nature's Narrative grant recipients and applicants.
