Be the difference! Become certified as a youth and/or adult Mental Health First Aider! Recognize warning signs of mental health problems and substance use disorders. Adult and youth Mental Health First Aid training is appropriate for anyone 18 years and older who wants to learn how to help a person who may be experiencing a mental health related crisis or problem. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions. Free for Mendocino and Lake County residents. No experience or background in counseling or mental health is necessary.

The Virtual MHFA trainings are comprised of two sessions - a 2 hour online self-paced session, followed by an instructor-led training. All participants MUST complete the self-paced online training before being allowed in to the instructor-led training. The training dates and registration links listed below are for the instructor-led portion of the training.
