Learning Supports & Instruction
Academic coaching is a personalized, one-on-one support from one of our trained academic coaches who can help you improve your teaching. Working with an academic coach can help assist in improving classroom management, streamline your lesson plan design, elevate your awareness of the best practices within your area of expertise and provide you a thought partner to explore any possible barriers.
We support each District with ongoing Grant CTE support, provide technical assistance on the implementation of CTE Pathways, and are continuing to build a bridge between our K-12 systems and the college system. We provide direct support around the cutting-edge knowledge about career options, technology, and skills required for success in adult life.
We strive to provide the most current and relevant information as it pertains to the CA academic standards. As we work alongside the district/school/staff to continue to improve the outcomes of ALL students, we provide ongoing coaching support to help elevate the “best practices” of the specific content area.
California Next Generation Science Standards (CA NGSS)
NGSS are K-12 science content standards. Standards set the expectations for what students should know and be able to do. The NGSS were developed to improve science education for all students.

To accelerate learning one must quickly diagnose the gaps in critical skills that might prevent students from accessing grade-level work, with “just-in-time” interventions and mini-lessons so they can be successful. That means it’s now even more important that school systems prioritize learning acceleration, regardless of whether their instruction is in-person, virtual, or a combination of both. It’s how we can give students the best opportunity to continue to grow and succeed as a learner.
We provide facilitation services around support districts in moving away from remediation and more towards acceleration. We guide teams through looking at current practices, policies, pacing guides, etcetera to determine where they need to go next when addressing the needs of each and every student.
Students are considered chronically absent if they are absent at least 10 percent of the instructional days that they are enrolled to attend in a school. We firmly believe that preventive practices are more effective and have longer lasting effects than a punitive stance when addressing this concern. We provide a system of collaborative networks that promotes cross county collaboration. Districts/staff build a common understanding and share what is working for them within the collaborative network. The latest practices, within the field, are explored and researched by the participants. One-on-one coaching is provided when requested.
Our Counseling Network provides networking and collaboration opportunities for Counselors that are currently working in the school setting. The focus is to build advocacy around researching and trying out proven practices that best support the mental health wellness of staff, students, and families found within each school/district.
We have a growing team of trainers assembled and ready to serve our community. The Mental Health First Aid training is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues. We provide county-wide training, site level training, and individual training to increase the Mental Health Awareness within our community.
Our support is offered through one-on-one coaching and small group collaboratives. The primary focus is on improving student outcomes, increasing the retention of promising beginning teachers, promoting the personal and professional wellbeing of beginning teachers, and to be a thought partner in tackling the ever changing needs of an active learning environment.
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Restorative Practices are whole-school models that can be used hand-in-hand to increase positive outcomes for student behavior. Both emphasize prevention and positive responses to problem behavior. We provide one-on-one support in developing these models within the District/Charter. We also provide individual coaching when needed.
